the story is set in Vietnam, but you got reason, it looks like in Cambodia too, especially the palm trees … i will find out where the location of the film,
here is the synopsis
Old-fashioned Soon-yi marries into a family in the country without love but she tries her best to be a housewife. But when her husband abandons her by enlisting into the Viet Nam war, Soon-yi wants to show that she is capable of loving him by any means necessary. Going to Viet Nam is no easy task for her as she does not possess a single talent and skill to call her own except for her beautiful voice. She ends up joining a band heading there and sings for the restless soldiers in hopes of meeting her husband while on tour.
She is my Korean favorite Actress. Can’t wait to see this Movie, do you know when the DVD is released?
i heard it will be released in theater July 24 2008,
so may have to wait a bit for the DVD release,
