Since the first time I watched it, I know it is just a trailer. But I want to watch more.
Fishnets and Pantyhose is a documentary of a Bar Girl. This is not the first time that I hear the story of bar girls. But the way they filmed and courage of the character was a surprise and made me want to know more about her story.
The movie have the aim of showing the world through her eyes, her own perception of Cambodia as she is struggling to support those she loves. Behind the fact that she is a Bar Girl, there is still feelings and values that can be universally understood. We think her story has to be told.
Sylvain Nawrocki co-director of the movie answered me via en email. Telenko is a french organization wich bring together people from different countries. Filmmakers editors, cinematographers, actors all together in Cambodia in order to make a feature movie.
During the preparation, we wanted to get involved in other projects like documentaries in order to promote the country and share what we discovered and felt. Some of us are in Cambodia for the first time, some came before, and came back because they think this country is simply amazing.
Sylvain added in his email.
This is the trailer of Fishnets and Pantyhose shot in Kompong Thom and Phnom Penh (Kingdom of Cambodia) during October 2011. The full documentary will follow in November.
