This post aims to provide practical advice on things that we need to buy before visiting Cambodia and other countries in Asia such as Japan, China, Thailand, Vietnam, Laos etc.
There are a lot of things you can buy on local markets in each country. You don’t have to carry everything. For example, I saw some people still recommend to buy toilet paper. It is insane. These days, you can find almost what you need during your trip.
What I am going to recommend are the things that you might not find in local markets in some country.

Travel Insurance
The thing might go bad during the trip. We recommend that we buy the travel insurance from the company that covers developing country such as Cambodia. We recommend World Nomads because of its reputation.
You can contact them 24/7. In case you have a serious accident and need to go to hospitalize in Thailand or Bangkok, it is covered. Make sure you choose this option when you purchase.
First Aid
It’s good to have first aid with you while you travel.
You will feel safe and when it comes to having an emergency need, you got it in your luggage.

Portable Mosquito Repellers
There are mosquitos at night in some places. If you need to stay outdoor for some occasions, it is good to have this portable mosquito repeller.

We use 3 types of power sockets: type A, C, and G. It’s good to have your own adapter that can connect to any power sockets.
