The Emperor and the Assassin

This is an extravagantly produced historical drama from China. In this movie, the emperor, Jing Ke Ci Qin and the assassin tells the complex story of a man who became the first emperor of unified China, another man who sworn to kill the emperor, and a woman who is loved by both the emperor and the assassin.
The story continues as Ying Zeng, who is the leader of Qin dreams of joining together the 7 kingdoms
into a single Utopian state. As his first step towards uniting the kingdoms, he invades the state of Han.

Once Upon a Time in China

This movie was set in the late 19th century Canton. This martial arts film portrays the stance taken by the mythical martial arts hero known as Wong Fei-Hung against foreign forces that were by then French, American, and English plundering of China. Upon Aunt Yee’s arrival from America being completely westernized, Wong acts as her protector.
However, this became challenging especially when his marital school of arts together with local militia got involved in a fierce battle with the local and foreign government.

This is a masterpiece, direct by Zhang Yimou, a very famous Chinese filmmaker. You must watch the movie if you want to know what happens next and if the labels will revenge their leader’s death.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

This movie was produced in the year 2000. In fact, it won 4 academy awards and got very high ratings. It is a classic Kung-Fu movie with a Greek tragedy storyline.
It is huge in scope, scenery, and storyline. This is because it involves the search for a missing treasure and a magical jade sword.
You will also enjoy a love story and an assassin. Its scenery in western China mountains gives this movie astonishing visual pallet to enjoy. It has an abundance of expression and you really have to watch it.
Police story of Jackie Chan

In this movie, Jackie Chan shows that he is a man and a martial artist by completing a number of deadly tasks.
Chan is part of the big operation of the police who intend to arrest and monitor Chu Tao who is a criminal. When Chu Tao realizes that he is being watched, he tries to flee but Chan finally manages to catch him after a long and difficult chase.
He is then seen as a hero. He is then given the responsibility to guard a critical witness on Chu Tao’s case, known as Selina. Selina leaves Chan’s custody and she later refused to give her testimony against Chu Tao, an act that leaves Chan ashamed and being laughed at by others.
Chu Toa plans revenge against Jackie Chan and he plans to kill a corrupt cop where he frames Chan as being the one responsible.
As he is running from the police since he is wanted for murder, he strives to capture Chu Tao so that he can clear his name. Watch the movie and see if he really manages to unveil the truth.
In the mood for love

This is a very interesting movie. Chow Mo-Wan, who is a journalist, rents a room in an apartment building on the same day with Su Li-Zheng, who is a secretary in a shipping company. They became next door neighbors.
Each of them has a spouse who is busy working and usually leave them alone on overtime shifts. Despite the land lady and other playing and noisy neighbors, Chow and Su find themselves all alone in their rooms.
Both Chow and Su each generate suspicions about their spouses’ fidelity and each of them comes to the
conclusion that their spouses have for some time been seeing each other.
You need to know what happens next to the love story is really amazing.
The killer

The killer is a Chinese action movie written and directed by John Woo and starring Chow Yun-Fat, Sally Yeh, and Danny Lee.
Chow plays the assassin A Hung. He accidentally damages a singer’s eye, known as Jenny (Sally Yeh) during a shoot out. He then finds out later that Jennie fails to undergo an expensive operation she will never see again.
To get the money to save Jennies eyes, he decides to go for the last hit. Watch the movie to know if he succeeds in this and if Jennie had her operation.

The mission

Triad boss Lung just escapes being killed by an assassin and so he decides to hire killers for his protection. The killers’ grown solidarity is under force when Lung orders one of his hired men to kill one of their own as a punishment for having an affair with his wife.
The star of the mission, Antony Wong acts as a professional bodyguard who acts as a barber and he is hired along with 4 others to safeguard a mob boss who is trying to become legitimate. Their mission is very simple, to keep their client alive until he reveals the identity of the schemers.

Detective Dee: Mystery of the Phantom Flame

In the Tang Dynasty, Wu is about to be crowned as the first Empress in China regardless of Tang officials opposition.
To mark the event, she has a colossal Buddha figure that is built overlooking her palace. Amazingly, an official who was inspecting Buddha’s progress instantly erupts into blazes.
The Empress receives a message from state preceptor who speaks through a magical deer and says that Wu must be the one to solve the mystery of the fire.
As the story continues, an exiled detective is hired to solve a series of mysterious demises that looms to delay Empress Wu’s inauguration. You should watch the movie to know what happens next.

The Infernal Affair

This is a story between a mole in the police department and an undercover police. The aim is one; to find out who the mole is and who the cop is.
The infernal affair is based on a police officer known as Chan Wing-Yan who goes undercover into a trio, and a member of the trio Lau Kin-Ming who penetrates Hong Kong police force.
Each mole has been put there by the rival organization to gain intelligence advantage over each
other. However, the more the moles get involved in their undercover lives, the more issues the get to deal with.
