I started sharing my online income report since September 2013 on my new blog santelphin.com. I noticed that KhmerBird readers also interested in the report and want to know more about making money online.
I changed a bit of my strategy for 2014 as I wrote in previous post How I Plan To Manage Myself in 2014. This post got a lot of attentions and comments.
That’s why I decided to share my income report here and leave my new blog only to write about Digital Marketing.
To follow my progress, here are the previous reports:
- Passive Income Report For September 2013
- Income Report For October 2013
Main income from Adsense
For November, I earned from Adsense in total of $208.89. I am more than happy with the result.
I plan to write more contents about blogging and how to make money online on KhmerBird. This will help to increase the Adsense revenue from KhmerBird blog itself because of the high CPC keyword related to the topics. I can feel there’s a huge demands from our readers to know more about making money online as well.
We continue to have sales from our product
In November we have two sales from our Clickable Theme. As it’s a share 50%/50% with our affiliate and again 50%/50% with our partner, I earned $14.50 from these two sales.
There’s a plan to increase the sale. We need to contact people who write theme reviews, ask them to promote our product on their website. We noticed all the sales were coming from theme review. We are lucky enough and be proud to build such an optimized theme so that people recommend it as the top best theme for Adsense.
Revenue from Amazon is painful
I have 4 sales on Amazon but the commission I received was less than $1. Somehow I plan to build more Niche websites slowly because it might take sometime to get traffic from the buyers. I mean the real ones!
Total for November 2013
So in total here is the breakdown:
- Adsense: $208.89
- Product: $14.50
- Amazon: $0.94
The total of this month is: $224.33 (last month was $243.56). We have a small drop down which is not good at all. I hope in 2014, I can stick to the plan to generate more income.
My Road-map to earn $1,000 per month
As I declared my goal, at the end of 2014 I plan to generate $1,000 per month from the internet. Some people asked me to share my strategy. I am happy to share and have full confidence that if we work hard, we will reach the goal.
Here are the strategy to reach my goal:
- Increase Topics on KhmerBird - Adsense works good on websites that have high traffic. I need to publish more contents in order to bring more traffic and generate more revenue. So I will post more about blogging and making money online
- Work more harder on my new blog - I plan to offer consultant service to small business owners who want to know what content and social media could help to bring more customers. I also can build blog/website for those who believe in my expertise. This is not a passive income but in order to reach the goal, I think I will need to work on the weekend. I plan to reserve my Saturday for consultant service. Then I will share my knowledge on internet marketing and web development. As soon as I have my target visitors, I can recommend products, themes, software I am using to generate more affiliate commission.
So there are 3 types of income stream I plan to work on:
- Consulting
- Web Development
- Affiliate Programs
That’s all for now. I hope you enjoy reading it and I am happy to get your feedback and comment on my strategy. It’s good to document all these things. First is for reminding myself, second is to share this strategy with young Cambodian Internet Marketers.
Feel free to ask if you have any question or need more details on how these things work behind the scene. I am happy to help.
Cheers!

Hi
A great blog, and totally refreshing to see another woman blogging on making money online! Inspiring!
Keep it up, current Cambodia CPC figures unfortunately mean that Adsense related sites are not that much of a viable option. Your plans to diversify offline make sense based on the how the Cambodian internet marketing is today.
Let me know if you fancy a coffee, im based in Phnom Penh.

Hi, my apologies, I read Khmer Bird and assumed you were female!
Please can you disregard my last comment - how embarrasing!
Hi Sam,
That’s Ok, I hope to learn more about you. It’s nice to know that you are also in Cambodia. Keep in touch!

I find that your website is a great site to stop by and get information! It’s even more amazing that you’re Cambodian blogger! Well I’m a newbie in blogging and I’m also hoping to actually get payment from AdSense.
But may I know if you got your Google pin or not? If no, how did you get your address approve and get paid?
Sorry I missed to reply you. Welcome to my blog Sonisa. I don’t get pin because mail in Cambodia doesn’t work very well.
At the third time of pin request, Google will ask you to submit some documents to validate your account.
Let’s me know if you have any question.
Cheers!
That was awesome! Another Pat Flynn over here!
I would highly recommend web development. That will easily be able to push revenue past $2k/mo in a job or two!

Thank Josh, web development is a part that I plan to make it grown in 2014 as well. I hope I could make it.
I am in the process of creating a site for revenue, too. That’s great!
Cool, I am glad to see more people from Cambodian start to make the benefit from online business. It’s nice to see the community grow!
I hope I could earn money online for the current situation. I used to earn some little bucks and got banned from Adsense because I was still newbie at that time.
I’m appreciated to read you blog and your techniques, too.
I am creating a personal blog for tracking my process like you. It’s still new and don’t have enough content on it. If you don’t mind me posting link to my personal blog, this is it: http://lonelyjob.com
Thanks!
Vanrithy
Hi Vanrithy,
Interesting blog. I think you put some interesting topics already. Find your time to write contents. I know it’s difficult but we need to improve ourselves, make a better self-management, then we will have plenty of time.
Good luck!
PS: We have this community online, so I hope you don’t feel lonely anymore. Cheers!
Thanks bro. for your motivation!

Sounds like a solid plan for increasing your revenue. You are likely going to have to work either as an affiliate or a vendor at some point if you want to really capitalize off of your traffic due tot he low cpc in your country. However, if you keep making posts like this you might start to draw a good amount of traffic from the US and other countries and market to those higher end markets through this blog.
Thank Peter,
This is something I plan to do. I will write more topics related to blogging and how people could benefit from this online business.
The traffic started to grow during this week, I think I will need to write more articles.

Lolz Good brother.I wish u get more $$ from adsense like me ^m^ . 1200$+ per month
Hi,
It’s nice to hear that you earn more than 1K per month. I hope one day you could share some of your strategy! won’t you?
Seak Muy Hong says
make your site have alot of USA get more $$.
Cambodian click CPC=0.01$ to 0.04$
USA click CPC=0.40$ to 1$
Yes, thank for the suggestion. That’s what I am trying to do now.
I think that If you want to make 1k per month from blogging, you should create more blogs. Not focusing on a few ones. That was what I should think like that. If you have 20 or 30 blogs, you will be able to earn 1k per month.
Thank Vutha. I love to create more blogs but I really can’t handle all of them. For the upcoming year, I focus only on my two main blogs and one Niche site.
Do you get cash from every time I click on an advert? If so, you should not be shy about saying that and I am sure people will help you by clicking on adverts on your site just to close the pop up window when it opens just so they can help you.
LOL Thank Pitou.
It is not my point to ask visitors to click on Ads. First it’s against Adsense policy. Second I want to deliver value contents to them first before I ask anything.
I didn’t create this blog to make money. Of course I always want to generate more income from the site but it should give a meaning to both me and my readers.
Cool! Your Income will increase more than this if you have another good channel. I mean Facebook or Twitter.
Yes, you are absolutely right. Social Media is a good place to connect with people and build relationship.
I plan to do more networking with other bloggers. So that they could help to share my contents to their network. This will help to amplifier the message and generate more visitors.
But now Facebook is not Free anymore. Less people see it unless I pay. Is there any good way to promote blog without social media? Could you suggestion some bro?
Thanks.
Hi Sopheak,
A lot of people recommend that we should not depend on one source of traffic or income.
I am also depress with the change made by Facebook on the feed. Your question is an interesting topic, I will write a full blog post about this.
Hi Sophy,
Adsense is not a scalable revenue. It’s good for us when we first start. I think for your case, you need to find another model of revenue.
I might have some ideas. When we meet, I’ll show you.
I like your approach Paddy. I wish you all the best for your blog strategy.
Thank man!
I completely understand your point. Thank for your feedback. I am starting my own company with less than $100. Let’s see if this thing works but I am 100% into it.
