I recently found two interesting blogs from Cambodia. Make sure you visit Cambodia Top Blogs to Read for more updates.
In this post I will introduce a new blog called “A Dose of Cath”. To be frank, I don’t know what it means. It is a blog run by Catherine V Harry. She’s Cambodian. That’s what she told me. She was born and raised here in Cambodia. She went to English class and her father has been speaking English with her since she was 5. That explains why she writes English so well.
I heard a lot of people told me they want to write something. Then I wait. I got nothing back from them. I end up making my own conclusion that nobody writes in this country. It is still true that it is hard to find writers in Cambodia. I always admire people who keep writing. Catherine is one of them. She loves writing. Words are how she uses to express herself.
Besides writing her own journal since she was in third grade, she started this blog. The idea of creating a blog came to her after she read The Blue Lady Blog from our famous Cambodian blogger Kounila Keo.
Catherine wrote what she thinks. She doesn’t be afraid to be different. It’s a bravery I rarely seen among Cambodian women.
She said:
The thing is, I feel as though a lot of people are afraid of being different or afraid of saying how they feel, so I want to be that voice. I want to open up, be vulnerable, so that people can see that there are others who feel the same way.
Catherine mostly blogs about what she is curious the most in life. She likes to write about things she wants to know more. By doing research for each post, she gains a lot of knowledges on the topic.
Make sure to check her blog out and I will introduce another new blog in my next post.
