Tran Anh Hung and actress (his wife) in Vertical Ray of the Sun
I have been thinking during this weekend. How to make a change without making any change on this blog. I didn’t sleep well since few days because I didn’t find any good harmony between my passion and profits.
Cambodia topic didn’t make me any profits but that was the reason I started this blog. I cannot completely change it into any making money machine. It against my will and maybe other person can do without any hesitation but the readers is important for me. I really grateful to their support.
I know in which direction I could make money from this blog. But as I confess many times it is difficult to do balance between your passion and profits. In my case, these two things cannot be mixed. There was no good harmony. It is like oil and water cannot mixed together.
It reminds me of a film: Vertical Ray of the Sun, a film by Tran Anh Hung. I like this Vietnamese filmmaker. I remember a lot of people in Vietnam hated him because of one of his films “Cyclo” that show the dark side of Vietnam: drug, murder and corruption. He realized he could do something much better to gain his popularity in Vietnam. He did another film “Vertical Ray of the Sun“. I will put the trailer at the end of this post to thank for this wonderful idea and you will find it as a good photography film from Vietnam.
It gives me idea to separate my passion into the vertical menu and profits into horizontal menu. Just to make it a bit clear: all things about Cambodia will find under the left sidebar menu. I created new group of links that might give you more easy access to the archived contents about Cambodia.
I created on the top menu all necessary tools to make money from blogging. This blog is an example how to make profits from your hobby. This is a wonderful thing that any blogger could think about it. I think now I found a good separation, good harmony inside my blog. I can sleep well tonight, maybe!
