after 13 years, the two overrated talent Hollywood actors are back together again. maybe for a different reason. in 1995, they played together for the first time in “Heat”, a remarkable movie directed by Michael Mann. and i love the movie very much. it’s one of the Hollywood movie i plan to introduce in LAK as well in a very near future.
in Heat, Robert played the bad guy, a career thief who never get down or going back. Al played a police LAPD, a hot dog guy who work 24 hours a day to catch all bad guys.
it’s the challenge characters, and their performance in Heat is unbelievable.
Now they back together again in “Righteous Kill”, a new movie directed by Jon Avnet. but it seem to turn out the movie disappointed many people. they are great actors of all time, maybe we need to find something more serious for them to act. i read the production note, Robert didn’t improvise much in this movie, something that he always did in Taxi Driver, Casino, Raging Bull… i followed all the movies that Deniro acts. As well as Al that i cannot forget his performance in GodFather movies.
i will see the movie anyway, just to see how they both are on the screen together. no matter how the bad is the movie. they are my great actors for all time.
in Heat, they both appeared together face to face on the screen for only one time, they talked at a café shop and the conversation are awesome. Michael Mann made a beautiful job to bring them together and delivered a very good movie of all time.
in Righteous Kill, they are face to face again … but now play as old friend, at the same side. in my own opinion they should play at the opposite side. because they both got a strong performance in a different way. putting them together at the same side is definitive not a good idea. they both used to play a very independent character, live alone, got their own spot. i love the idea of Michael Mann to put them at the opposite side. and if u have chance to watch Heat, you will know what i am talking about. it’s something you shouldn’t miss in your life. if you like the movie of course, and not girls
