The readership have been improved since January 2011. We have around 500 visitors per days, more than 1 000 daily pagesview. We make a good step from 1K unique visitors per month to 5K for whole January. This is the record taken from compete.com
Most of our contents have been shared via Facebook. Thank to all Facebook Friends for your help to spread the contents.
I have worked on the new layout which I believed it would provide more access to the good contents on KhmerBird. I have purchased a new theme package that cost me a fortune of $250. I have made a long thinking before purchasing this package. The most important thing is to assure the layout will not be broken in any type of browser. I still keep the 3 columns, maintain almost everything to keep them at the same place.
The most expensive is the code behind or what we call “Framework”. I don’t want to explain more details here. But I do hope you can share your comment and feedback on this new arrangement. I would like to thank again to all your engagements you have contributed on KhmerBird.
Lately Vitou has difficulties in sleeping at night. As you know, I blog mostly at night. It is difficult for me to sit and write while he screams behind my back. He will passed his 2nd month soon, we hope this stay awake at night would be gone soon.
I hope you might notice I bring up some old contents on both sidebars. Those are the good contents I have wrote since last few years. I think these links would be useful for the first time visitors and maybe it is good for regular visitors to have chance to re-read again or read for the first time what they have missed.
With new theme, I also brought out my latest tweets from my twitter account. There’s also The KH Daily that will bring you the latest news related to Cambodia.
I like Adsense which is the main revenue for the blog but I think it is important to think about readership. I kept only one ads box on the left sidebar that I believe it won’t disturb the reading process. I still need to work for the footer but the main part of the layout is finished.
What we need to go next is to produce good contents. I have been contact from some people that want to contribute their writing on KhmerBird. If you have something to share or contribute, please don’t hesitate to contact me. This blog is opened for almost everything that help to promote life in Cambodia.

I think it might be because of internet speed. But I don’t no much abt this business.
first I think the body might look small but later on I think it’s ok
so no need to change anything more otherwise u will pay double $ 500 right? 
but this theme cost u $250???!!! oh cannot believe how expensive it is!!!

I think the slow might due to the script from alexa.com, sometime I could see the script is waiting for loading …

Thank for the report, Phillip, I will check if we can move the script to some other place to speed up .. but I believe I put it in the right place, at the footer just before closing tag … I will check again.
