Cambodian officials required to declare assets

Some 100,000 government officials in Cambodia will be required to declare their assets this year in an effort to combat corruption, a senior official said Wednesday. Cambodia’s First Biofuel Plant to Reopen

CAMBODIA - The sole biofuel production plant is set to reopen in October having closed earlier in the year because of high crop prices. The plant will reopen at the start of the cassava harvest. Accordinf to a report in the Phnom Penh Post the plant needs at least 10,000 tones of cassava a month to produce ethanol. Europe looks to cash in on Cambodian rice

THE Cambodian Small and Medium Industries Association will begin exporting 2,656 tonnes of rice worth nearly US$1 million to four European nations later this month.
