Cambodia In My Dream is a collection of my writing since the last 10 years.
I started my writing at the time that I was in France.
It was the first time that I looked at my country from such a distance. It allowed me to see many things that I could not see when I was in the country.
The reason I started writing because I want the world to find a new book of Cambodia.
If we look at the library all around the world, we only find books of genocide and surviving. This is the first book from Cambodia that didn’t talk about Khmer rouge or genocide!
It is hard to publish a book in Cambodia and make a living from writing.
People asked me 10 years ago: when are you going to publish your own book?
I didn’t have any idea how to publish a book on my own.
Some writers spent their own money to publish their books. Make profit or lose, they are responsible for their own destiny. Some writers sold their writing to the publishers with a cheap fixed amount of money. Whatever the amount of sold copies, they don’t have any right to ask for more money.
Now I found my own way.
I become a self-publisher. I joined Kindle Direct Publishing, a service from Amazon. Now my book is available in the Kindle store. You can order digital version or print version as well.
