I Just Came to Tell You That I’m Going

I just came to tell you that I’m going
And all your tears won’t change anything
… You remember the good times and you cry

Serge wrote this song to say goodbye to everybody when he knew he got cancer,
It was now adapted into English version, in the album Monsieur Gainsbourg Revisited.

this song is dedicated to the two soldiers that died in protecting our territory.
God will bless you to rest in peace, and we will remember your names.

YOU ARE THE PATRIOT!

Title: I Just Came to Tell You That I’m Going
Writer:
Serge Gainsbourg
Performers: Jarvis Cocker (vocals), Alex Bonnie (bass) and others

I just came to tell you that I’m going
And all your tears won’t change anything
As the poet said: An ill wind is blowing
So I just came to tell you that I’m going

You remember the good times and you cry
Suffocating, your face so pale
Now the hour is nigh
So it’s goodbye forever
And I’m sorry to tell you but I’m going away
Yes I loved you once but hey

I just came to tell you that I’m going
And all your tears won’t change anything
As the poet said: An ill wind is blowing
So I just came to tell you that I’m going

You remember the good times and you cry
Suffocating, your face so pale
Now the hour is nigh
So it’s goodbye forever
And I’m sorry to tell you but I’m going away
Yes I loved you once but hey

You remember the good times and you cry
Suffocating, your face so pale
Now the hour is nigh
So it’s goodbye forever
And I’m sorry to tell you but I’m going away
Yes I loved you once but hey

I just came to tell you that I’m going
And all your tears won’t change anything
As the poet said: An ill wind is blowing
So I just came to tell you that I’m going

You remember the good times and you cry
Suffocating, your face so pale
Now the hour is nigh
So it’s goodbye forever
And I’m sorry to tell you but I’m going away
Yes I loved you once
I loved you once but hey
