Phnom Penh is very beautiful. There are a lot of fancy and colorful villas covered in trees and flowering shrubbery. Maybe I’m in the wrong section of town, but even poor folks seem to live in these. Some of the buildings are dilapidated, but no less beautiful. Our villa has a mango tree and a dragonfruit tree in the front of it.
The air conditioning is more important than you might think–it seems to be about 100 degrees Farenheit out here, and humid. Having fled a snowy February in Cincinnati, I’m not used to it; but I remind myself that it is certainly no worse than what I endured in Dubai.

At times, Phnom Penh, Cambodia, can feel a bit hectic and maybe a little intimidating. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and while there learned various survival tactics in order to make visiting Phnom Penh slightly easier and more manageable.
Some of these survival tactics might even teach you a few lessons on how to be native in Cambodia. In any way, have an awesome time in Phnom Penh; a city that I consider to have a great mixture of entertainment, delicacies, humor, and great folks.

1. Airport Disaster Drill Held in Cambodia
As I mentioned yesterday about Airport on alert for crash drill, hundreds of participants took part in an emergency disaster drill Tuesday at the Phnom Pehn International Airport.
The simulated plane crash disaster drill required participants to focus on moving passengers from the crash site, fighting fires and treating injuries.
Senior government officials said that firefighters and rescuers learned a lot from the exercise.

Book’s Description
17 April 1975. The date sends a chill down the spine of most Cambodians. It was the start of a nightmare that was to continue for almost four years at the hands of the brutal Khmer Rouge.
Photographer Roland Neveu was one of the few foreigners who stayed behind when most of the press corps left the country as part of US evacuation operation Eagle Pull. The few 35-mm films which he shot that day are some of the only remaining images of that time. He was lucky enough to be able to take them out of the country after his forced sojourn in the French Embassy compound. This book takes you to Phnom Penh on that fateful day.

Innovation by dewittrobinson
you might noticed that recently i have changed a lot the concept and the way i want to direct this blog to be more useful source information for people that want to learn about Cambodia.
few months back, my blog was about something emotion, woman, relationship and mixed up many stuffs. there’s no direction or any subject focus. it’s bad for a blog that got no direction of not targeting the audience. people arrived and gone without having anything trace.
i have asked myself what i can write about on this blog? i cannot come up with many various things. a blog has to got a clear vision and a clear subject about what you are talking about. you need to tell them right away what they can benefit from your blog.
i have learned a lot of the professional bloggers, i also joined and become a member of problogger.com, people inside the forum has help me a lot and starting from there that i got the real innovation for the future of khmerbird.com.
Cambodia will be the main keyword for this blog and i got all the necessary sources to keep this blog as an important place where people can find new things and learn more about Cambodia.
hopefully i will get the things done very soon, and hope you guys still continue to support this blog. after the innovation is completed, you will get a clear vision of this blog and easy access to updating news and useful information about Cambodia.
i plan also to provide the guest post for those that want to write and post article on this blog. you can introduce your company, a product, a service, a blog or whatever you have to promote Cambodia in the way that we all want to contribute.
i will keep you guys update on all process,
Good weekend to all of you.

you might got your own favorite places in town for going out at night, i got few since so far: River House, Pontoon, The Place, Metro … etc
and recently i have visited the new place of eleswhere, i can’t imagine they could convert a restaurant into such beautiful place, with two swimming pool and some nice chair to sit around the pool,
i still like the place, for sure i will visit it again, my fiance she like it too, that’s also an important thing.
now i got information that there’s will be a new club opening in about two month, located at Attwood building along Confederation de la Russie, it’s at the middle between town and airport, in front of Total station if you want to be precise,
i got some information from Ray B. Kirit, PR & Events Director of the Elements Club, he delighted to give us in advance what Elements Club is all about.
Nightlife reigns in style at Elements Club with enticing options to indulge any mood. A chic lounge exudes a dark sexy atmosphere, ideal for cocktails and conversation and for guests seeking ultra- VIP treatment.
On the other side is the modern disco area playing a variety of hip hop, funky- techno house music, equipped with an elevated dance floor, and a state-of-the- art audio and lights system.
A voyeuristic design throughout the nightclub allows people to see the entire venue from almost every point in the room, while sexy performance from go go dancers, including human galleries taking roles in lavish costumes, can be seen nightly.
at the moment you can listen to a nice music and see the wonderful 3D logo of Elements Club at their official webstie elementsclub.net

at the same time as the bloggers continues to grow in Cambodia, especially from Phnom Penh, we also have some new websites coming up and today i got one.
it’s good to have a place where we can find all the events in town, to get an idea where and when to move and not to miss them.
if it’s not happen to you, i would say i missed a lot of events these days.
for this purpose, our friends at Lady Penh(dot)com have built up a cool website where we can find all events in Phnom Penh. if you have something important and free to join, i believe they will post it free for you too. you can check it out with them if u got a free party for example
LOL
but i believe their purpose is to broadcast the events related to Art and Culture, exposition … etc. let’s cover to that topic because i think the city should have more events to express ideas and development.
they just first launched the page, and they would love to see how you feel about the page
and if you have any comments, it would be great to let them know.
you can check it out by the link below
