I am having my blog on WordPress.com since 2006. I moved to self hosted WordPress since 2008. This blog is my first blog that I have learned to build everything on my own. You can try as well to get a blog on your own. It’s not very difficult but you might need to spend some time to understand and learn about WordPress.

1. Domain Name
A domain name is the address url that you will need for your business or personal blog. To give an example, khmerbird.com is the domain name of my blog. You will need this as it will point to the front page of your website.
Usually the domain name could be the name of your company or in case if it’s a personal blog, you could put your name.
2. Web Hosting
A Web Hosting is a place where you put all your files and information to launch your website 24h a day, 7/7 a week. People access to your website via your Web Hosting, otherwise no one can view your page. If you store in on your local computer, there’s only you who could view the page.
By putting all your files to the Web Hosting, your page will be accessible from any computer that have internet connection.
