I watched for the first time Apocalypse Now in Paris. It was the best film I watched for the first time in my life. It reflects a lot about the reality of the Vietnam war. The journey on the boat up to Mekong river from Vietnam to Cambodia will bring you to an exceptional adventure. A recently teacher of my summer school said “All she know about Cambodia is the film Apocalypse Now”. I know what she means.
It is a great film, if you not yet watch it, I would recommend to spend around 2h with the film. You would see how this film could challenge you. It is available in Blu-ray on October 19th. Check out this new trailer.
“Have you ever considered any real freedoms? Freedoms from the opinion of others? Even the opinions of yourself?…” ( Colonel Kurtz – Marlon Brando )

Nominated for eight Academy Awards, Francis Ford Coppola’s stunning vision of the heart of darkness in all of us remains a classic and compelling Vietnam War epic.
Martin Sheen stars as Army Captain Willard, a troubled man sent on a dangerous and mesmerizing odyssey into Cambodia to assassinate a renegade American colonel named Kurtz (Marlon Brando), who has succumbed to the horrors of war and barricaded himself in a remote outpost.
