i upgraded to wordpress 2.7 recently and i didn’t realize about the feature no follow in the comment line, but when i click on the link to the comment author, i got a blank page. i started to realize something have been added to the author url.
it’s the nofollow feature to discourage the spam comments, if you don’t know what it is, you can find out the declaration at wordpress.org
i was finding out how to remove this feature because i actually want to go to the author comment website as well, but of course if it’s a spam, the comment will be deleted as soon as i detected but mostly the spam comments (i received a couple of 10 everyday) they rarely pass the Akismet.
if it happen to you that you want to remove nofollow from your blog, you can find plugin out there but it seems didn’t well quite well, i have tried some of them and i don’t know why it didn’t work for me.
i found an nice article here to explain clearly on how to remove nofollow from your blog, just do a backup file before u change the code because it’s very sensitive, you blog might be down in 1 second. be careful!
