have you experience with Hollywood scary movies? i bet you do and so do i. i like Urban Legend, i watched it in a big screen movie in Paris. it was total an experience the first time watching the scary movie in the theater.

we are not yet talking about 3D theater, in Phnom Penh i would say there’s no cinema at all. i would not forget Cinema Lux or Cinema Sorya, but they are cinema for me too much noisy, no stereo sound, people talking on the phone, the guys discuss something while watching … it was a bad experience for me.

My Bloody Valentine will coming soon in 3D, i would not have a chance to experience it, not for the near future. but for those who have chance to go to the theater 3D, this movie would be something for you to watch with the Valentine partner. i hope you guy will have fun with that movie.

it’s the quote from Gladiator. there are many way that make me watch Gladiator many times, even tonight on HBO.  Gladiator to me is a Philosophy of life, not just for a soldier or a hero of Rome, but it could applicable to any circumstance.

Maximums is a General, a commandor that knows how to take care of his armies and won many battles. he got a wife, he has a son. he love and be faithful to his wife. when they was murdered, i could feel how much he lost in his life. the movie shows us how important that a family mean to a man. and how we can take a deep breath and stand up when we lost or when we got any problem. any problem need to be solved, no matter how hard it is, no matter how long it will take. it need to be solved and ended or closed. that’s what i usually use when i got any trouble.

that’s the reason why i call Gladiator is a Philosophy of life, not just a story or a movie.

A World Without Thieves’ Crew

i also watched The Banquet, it’s a costume movie, war and the song was magnificent. i not yet watch his latest released film under the title Assembly, for sure i hope i could find it soon.

If you are the one, is the latest work from Feng Xiaogang, the cast is not exactly the same but his favorite actor Ge You is in the cast for this movie too. i heard it’s a film that talks about love and marriage. it becomes more interesting to me the most for this circumstance. the movie is ready to be released at the end of this month, the date is seem to be set to 22 December. hope we all enjoy the New Year days with this movie. You will find also the beautiful Shu Qi, i guess you all know who i am talking about, she played in So Close and many other movies. The small and lovely Vivian Hsu has also a role in this movie.

Synopsis

Chin is a mediocre looking middle-aged bachelor. A self-made entrepreneur, he has never had much luck in the love department. He puts out a personal ad hoping to find a relationship, and after a string of bizarre encounters and bad dates, he finally strikes a chord with the beautiful Xiaoxiao. Feeling she’s out of his league, Chin hesitates to further approach her and instead, develops an accidental friendship with her. i just know and heard we are talking about Amy Adams, she is a rising star in Hollywood i guess. i have watched Catch Me if You Can, Charlie Wilson’s War … but she seems not yet make my attention.

i bought The Wedding Date, but i not yet have time to watch, and i heard she was Golden Globe Award nominated in Enchanted which i not yet got the DVD but i will look into the market when i have time.

Angelina Jolie, the mighty heart woman has returned again on the screen in a period thriller “Changeling”, directed by Clint Eastwood.

The film begins in 1928 Los Angeles and tells the true story of a woman who recognizes that the boy returned to her after a kidnapping is not her son. After confronting the city authorities, she is vilified as an unfit mother and branded delusional.
