How To Get Your Adsense Account Approved

What is Adsense

Adsense is an advertising platform, owned by Google. It is one of the easy ways to start making money on the internet.

I received a lot of questions about how to get Adsense account approved. I hope this post will give you some ideas that will help to get your application approved.

1. Use your real name

It stated clearly as the first criteria that Google will not approve the application that has an incomplete name. You need to use your real name. Otherwise you won’t be able to get your payment. You need to have a valid ID card in order to receive the money from the program.

I know some of you don’t want to use the real name on the internet. Well,… if you want to start doing business on the internet, you will have to put your real name. In this particularly case, to apply for Google Adsense, you will need to use your real name or a name with a valid ID card.

2. Address

Google will send a pin code to verify your address. You need to make sure that you put real address. Most of us don’t know about the zip code. Check out this post: Phnom Penh Postal Codes, which you can find zip code to use for your area.

3. Publish only original contents

Google don’t like publishers who create websites just for Adsense. They like to see more personal opinions, passions and involvements in social issues. They like to see blogs that aim to change the world.

It’s important to publish only original and useful contents. You need to avoid all types of contents that you don’t own the copyrights.

4. Wait 6 months before apply

Google started clearly that in some countries, including China and India, you need to own the site at least 6 months before they can approve your application. I believe they apply the same rule for Cambodia. Maybe I am wrong but you can’t just create a new blog with one single article and then apply for Adsense. It doesn’t make sense. I am sure Google will not approve your account.

Stop complaining … start publishing original contents!

5. Blog in English first

Adsense doesn’t support Khmer language yet. If you blog in Khmer, it’s hard to get your account approved. I suggest that you start your first blog in English as a reference for your account to get approved. Later on, you can apply Adsense code to the websites that are written in Khmer.

6. BlogSpot or Domain?

Google also provides a free blog platform at blogger.com. You can get a free account there and start building your first blog. After 6 months, you can apply for Adsense by using your blogspot as your website.

I was told that if you start with blogspot, you can’t use Adsense on other sites. But I can’t find document about this case. I will look for more information and update this post as soon as I have an update.

Otherwise, for long time run, it’s good to have your own domain.

That’s it. I hope this post will help to give some ideas for people who want to apply to Google Adsense program.

Adsense is just too risk to earn money. I had it for some a few years, but they turned and banned my account without exact reason. They’re good at banning account without exact reason.

I use Adsense the same styles on the same sites and on the same locations in my sites from the first day I implement it. Yet, I lost it without any reply from them even though I’m trying to contact them for about 1 year I guess.

They banned me for good. I could have chance to play with another monetization methods such Affiliate Products, CPA, and CPM …

Anyways, you’re giving a good point for people who try to apply for Adsense for the first time. It’s lowered the risk of their application denied.

    Thanks!

      Thank Vanrithy,

Sorry to hear your bad experience with Adsense. I think you are not the only who was banned from Google Adsense. I believe there’s nothing much we could do about it.

That’s why we should not relay on single income source. It’s dangerous. I explained more in my income report here http://www.santelphin.com/income-report-october-2013/

I think you also commented on the article. I wish you all the best luck for creating affiliate sites with Amazon.

That is good idea that you take your valuable time to share important article with our Cambodian who want to make money from blogging. I noticed most of Cambodian people always stopped blogging because they do not make enough money for living.

For my idea, I think that before applying adsense 1- Writing your own content at least 20 articles, 2- Keeping domain name long. After getting adsense approved, you will be able to create other niche sites for adsense.

Yes, I notice the same. They want to make money right away just after they have few contents on the sites.

Building Niche sites need to have a deep researches and patience.
